Hello Gerry,

Is it likely you will all get to play for us in the South East of UK? I bet you don't remember playing at the Kursaal at Southend-on-Sea with Rory in the 1970s?! Also, those great days and mad gigs at The Bridge House, Canning Town....I do. Rory even played one evening.......wonderful times!!

I have tickets for the gig in Murcia in May.

On Dec 2nd 1981 I met Gerry, Brendan and Rory after a gig at Queen Mary college, London .

They all signed my program. Is it possible for you guys to re-sign and date that program? That would be awesome!

What can I say about Ted McKenna? One of the greatest influences for my playing. I learned his drum parts off by heart. I met him unexpectedly one Friday night when he was sitting in with Jerry Donahue. He wouldn't accept any accolades, instead deferred to Aynsley Dunbar as being an outstanding drummer. Thoroughly enjoyed his company. Have always held him in the highest regard.

We saw Band of Friends at the Fox Theater in Vancouver December 14/2018. It was fantastic. So sad about Ted McKenna. We were looking up tour dates and sadly did not see Vancouver. Keep us posted. We really hope to see you all again. Thanks Paula and Matt

Gerry,

I'm very sorry for your loss; I was terribly saddened by Ted's passing. I just saw you guys at the Funhouse gig in Seattle last month, and was blown away by it -- one of the best blues-rock shows I've ever seen. It should have been in front of a packed house at the Paramount! Please know, though, that the mission of spreading love for Rory's music was very much accomplished -- new converts were made that night.

As you guys came off stage and I was thanking each of you, Ted threw his arm around me for a sweaty hug. He seemed like a very sweet guy as well as a wonderful drummer, and I was looking forward to seeing him with Schenker.

Hope you are doing well, sir.

Joe

Gerry - so sorry to hear of Ted’s sudden passing. Our thoughts and prayers to him and his family. He brought so much joy to us all providing the excellent backbeat to countless tracks live and in studio. He will be missed but never forgotten by all the wonderful memories he created... Sean

Gerry, I was shocked to hear the sad news of Ted's passing. I know he and you have been buddies for 30 years or more and I'm sure you're devastated like his family must be. Just want you to know Sandy and I are thinking of you at this very difficult time.

Hugs, Tom & Sandy

The sudden death of Ted is to sad for words. I wish Gary and all of Ted loved ones strenght in this difficult time.
I've had the privilege of seeing Marcel yesterday play in the Shack with his own band and he had tears in his eyes while speaking about the loss of Ted.
All the best from Bart
